CLASSICAL ENCOUNTERS
The classical sounds of violin, cello and piano lead by Deirdre Larkin, plus a special guest appearance by the Austrian soprano Christa Lagler, to entertain you with a variety of smooth classics and familiar songs.
Enjoy a variety of light classical and jazz concerts on a Sunday afternoon in the Botanical Garden. 5 July : GREAT VOICES - South Africa’s outstanding vocal group ‘The Black Tie Ensemble’ performing hits from the world of Opera and Broadway in a very special concert not to be missed.Concerts are held fortnightly from May to September.The Garden is open daily from 08:00 to 18:00, no entry after 17:00.Entrance fees are R23 for adults, R10 for students and R7 for scholars. Children under 6 free. Free entrance for senior citizens on Tuesdays (R20 other days). Botanical Society members have free entrance to the Garden. A surcharge is levied for concerts and special events.Entrance fees as from the 1 April 2009.R23 for adults, R13 for students (with a valid student card), R7 for scholars (children), R5 concession fee (at discretion of the Curator), R2 for pre-school groups (per child). Children under the age of 6 and Botanical Society members (with valid Botsoc membership) have free entry.Entrance fee for Events (Concerts, Easter Parade, Teddy Bear's Picnic, Fashio Show, Carols by Candlelight)Adults R35, Senior Citizens R25, Students (with valid student card) R20, Scholars R10, Botsoc adults R20, Botsoc students R15, Botsoc scholars R5
