It is located in the gentle suburb of Boksburg, Gauteng, known as Plantation, and is very near the O.R. Tambo International Airport (previously Johannesburg International Airport). Plantation is the oldest suburb in Boksburg and has many old and beautiful trees and abundant bird life. It also has a National Monument, “40 Pillars.” The architecture in the area is superb and dates back to the early 1900s. Two houses in the community were designed by Sir Herbert Baker. It is also in close proximity to Sandton (25 km), Johannesburg CBD (central business district) (20 km), and Pretoria (approximately 46 km). The East Rand Mall and a selection of restaurants and supermarkets are only a few minutes away.

Cedar Manor Guesthouse Accommodation

This very fine establishment offers a choice of 10 beautifully decorated rooms, five that are within the main guest house and five that are detached. The five rooms in the main building have a décor that is reminiscent of the early 20th Century with Victorian-style ensuite bathrooms (separate shower and bath). Four of the five rooms have a separate patio and three of those overlook the shimmering water of the swimming pool. The five detached rooms ensure a little more privacy and each of these is also decorated with an elegant flair. All rooms have a fully stocked bar fridge, a television, a kettle for tea or coffee, and an air conditioner. Electronic safes are available upon request. An English breakfast is included.

Cedar Manor Guesthouse offers shuttle service to and from O.R. Tambo International Airport for a fee per km and must be booked 12 hours in advance. Laundry service and lunch packs are additional services offered.
